Our mission is to celebrate Marylanders’ outstanding athletic accomplishments and promote the ideals as well as the traditions of Maryland athletics and its athletes.
2024 inductees and honorees were announced on July 18 at the Babe Ruth Museum in Baltimore and will be recognized at the 63rd Hall of Fame Induction Banquet on November 21, 2024 at Martin's West Baltimore. Meet our class of 2024:
Kyle Beckerman is named one of “The 25 Greatest” players in the 25-year history of Major League Soccer and considered the greatest soccer player to ever come out of Anne Arundel County.
Al Bumbry, Baseball
“Bee,” as Alonza Bumbry was affectionately known, remains one of the most popular Baltimore Orioles players in team history. His speed made him the Orioles all-time stolen base leader and second in career triples.
Michael Burnett, Lacrosse
Michael “Mole” Burnett was a three-time high school All-American at St. Mary’s High School in Anne Arundel County and named one of the top 50 lacrosse players in ACC history.
Joe Ehrmann, Football
Joe Ehrmann is a former Syracuse star and Pro Bowl defensive tackle with the Baltimore Colts. He was the anchor of a fearsome defensive line which led the league in sacks and propelled the Colts to a rapid rise to the top of the AFC standings.
Lauren Gibson
Lauren Gibson is a three-time Softball World Cup gold medalist, a three-time First-Team All-American and led the Tennessee Lady Vols to the College World Series.
Talvin Skinner, Basketball
Talvin "Tab" Skinner is a University of Maryland Eastern Shore legend, putting together one of the most decorated athletic careers of any player to ever don the maroon and gray.

Tim Kurkjian boosts an illustrious career as a baseball writer, analyst, New York Times Best Selling author, host and reporter for ESPN TV and the Emmy award-winning ESPN productions Baseball Tonight and SportsCenter.
Ralph Friedgen, Football Coaches Legacy Award
Ralph Friedgen, former University of Maryland football coach from 2001-2010, is third all-time in Maryland football history during which he was a two-time ACC Coach of the Year.
